Exeter Joins SPAM Network

The Exeter Observatory Meteor Detection Centre has become part of the SPAM Network. The SPAM Network are a group of radio astronomy enthusiasts working on several projects to detect all things natural (and sometimes unnatural) with various radio equipment and antennas.

They have been detecting meteors since 2008 and now have a network of outstations throughout the U.K.   Data from all stations is archived, allowing specific events to be reviewed and provided to interested parties.  Such information has been provided to the British Astronomical Association (BAA) for a scientific paper they published on various formats of meteor detection.
